There is a new breed of worshipers that are being raised up around the world. I’ve been hearing this from many around the world. Everyone talks about a new season, new sound, new breed, new generation, new, new, new…sometimes I can be slow to jump onto the train, but I actually agree with the voices that are speaking this. Over the last 2 ½ months living here in Kona I believe I have met many of the new breed that God is raising up. My prayer is that everyone of these new worshipers is championed the way that Jesus would want them championed.
I’ve found that as I grow in years I become it is easy to be slow to receive the younger generation. However, in the last season it has been the younger generation that has led me into a deeper relationship with the Lord. I’ve been inspired by them, challenged by them, and exhorted by them to move into new things with the Lord!
This morning it was the songs of the emerging generation that led YWAM Kona into the throne room. I had the privilege of leading with Lindy Conant and Chloe Brennt. Lindy led out with an original song that expressed the heart cry of our generation for the Lord to come with all of His glory. This heart cry is not just the sound of the young, but the sound of every generation. The desire of every generation here on base is beginning to rise and yearn for the Lord in a fresh and new way.
God, don’t let me miss the burning heart for the Lord to move in our communities. Let my desire increase for Him and let the desire of every generation exponentially increase for the visitation of the Lord in our generation! Come Lord Jesus!
