DTS Workshop Worship on Fire

Posted on 26 August 2010 by

I have had the privilege this past week of leading worship for the DTS Regional Workshop for Cambodia and the surrounding nations. It is so beautiful when you have voices from Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippines and more all singing the praises of Jesus! Each morning’s worship session was unique in how the Holy Spirit led and each was just as special. We had a morning inspired by my son Jacob’s worship as I used his child sized guitar and led us in some fun loving children’s worship songs. The group got right into the mood and danced before the Lord with great joy as God touched our hearts! Continue Reading

Call2All DTS Says Goodbye to Bangkok

Posted on 12 July 2010 by

Well, our team finished the last day of ministry here in Bangkok today. What a wonderful two weeks! Just remembering all that we have experienced is amazing. We spent a day touring a Buddhist temple and some tourist attractions, we spent many days with King’s Kids doing fun discipleship programs, and also many hours working on service projects in the slum. We spent hours across the street doing evangelism at the university. Continue Reading

Call2All DTS Reaching Out to Slums in Bangkok

Posted on 08 July 2010 by

Yesterday was such a wonderful day for our outreach team here in Bangkok! We spent most of the day as a team working in a community close to the YWAM Thailand base. We put on our construction hats in the morning and laid some concrete in a small section of the community while others passed out Gospel tracts and another group shared with a woman who is very open to the Gospel. This woman, Joy, a couple days ago as a Buddhist, prayed to our God to send some people to help fix her house. The next day we arrived to repair the siding of her home that sits above a sewage filled swamp. Continue Reading

Bangkok, Thailand

Posted on 01 July 2010 by

What a couple days! After flying through Honolulu, Tokyo, Taipei, and arriving in Bangkok we have been experiencing a beautiful part of the world with our outreach team. We are staying with YWAM Thailand and have been blessed to be hosted by an amazing group of leaders. Yesterday we were overwhelmed by an orientation that helped us understand Thai culture and how to stay here and be effective in our ministry in this area. We also watched a DVD showing the collection of ministries that are based out of YWAM Thailand. Incredible! This place is busting at the seams with vision. Every ministry highlighted brought us to tears and made us hope we were going to be working with all of them! Continue Reading

Prayer & Worship in Piratininga

Posted on 08 July 2011

I am in a small town of 18,000 called Piratininga, in Sao Paulo State, Brazil.  I would imagine that 99% of the people that read this have never heard of this place.  It is a quaint little town that happens to be the home of the headquarters for one of the most influential worship music labels in modern worship…Vineyard Music.  The leaders of this organization for Brazil live here.  I’ve had a wonderful time getting to know one of their producers, Raphael Costa, a talented guitar player and producer with an amazing heart for the Lord.  There are too many amazing people to list them all, but this has truly been a wonderful time of outreach.  And over the last two weeks the Lord has been feeding me daily through a scripture from Colossians. Freedom Behind Bars

Posted on 30 June 2011

June 24th I embarked on an amazing journey with 8 of my dear friends and 2 beautiful children! Ronda, Jacob, Ariel, and Hailey will be joining me in approximately 12 days, 12 hours, 27 minutes, and 25 seconds…not that I’m counting!

We have met some of the most amazing people in the last 5 days and have hit the ground running as usual. After arriving in Sao Paulo, Brazil, we were picked up by our new Portuguese friend Ruben who handed us a sheet of paper with some useful Portuguese phrases like, “We’re hungry for food,” and, “We need to stop for the bathroom,” and my favorite, “We need to stop and puke.” We all laughed together at the choice of phrases to welcome us to the beautiful nation of Brazil…and hoped we didn’t need to use all of them.
