Again, just like in my last post, it was the next generation that stole the show tonight! We had so many amazing acts and many from the young kids of YWAM Kona. We had a trio of girls singing up a storm and a soloist, who was the final winner! All the young girls were amazing and brave. I was stunned at the actual talent that was here on the base as many students and staff showcased their talents in front of a couple hundred onlookers.
All the proceeds for the event went to support the Call2All DTS and their outreach teams which are going to Philippines, Afghanistan, and Cambodia. People voted for their favorite act by donation. The person with the most donations won the competition, but the proceeds for all voting went to support the outreach teams. What a great idea!
Kellye Vetter was the mastermind behind the event and she did an incredible job pulling the show off in 1st class fashion! Congrats Kellye!
Of course I had to grace the night with some humor thanks to my amazing wife who played the role of Twinkie Abdul tonight. I performed a stirring rendition of “Friends” with a guest appearance from Matt Nelson himself! The ultimate friend! Congratulations Call2All DTS for a great night!
